In 2023, the University of Turku will open the international, multilingual, master's program European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact (120 ECTS) based on the cooperation of European universities. Application period 4-18 January 2023. An information session about the program will be organised on zoom on 14.12. at 14:00-15:00 (Finnish time, which means 13:00-14:00 CET).
Application Period for International Master’s Degree Programme European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact Has Started
The international and multilingual master’s degree programme European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact trains language professionals for a multilingual and multicultural world of work. At the University of Turku, the major is either French or German. The applying period is April 1st–May 31st.
New Chinese Language Lecturer Hui Shi: “Language Opens Doors to a New Way of Thinking”
It has been possible to study Chinese language as a major subject at the University of Turku since 2021. The subject was recently strengthened with a new lecturer, Dr Hui Shi. The Chinese language department places special emphasis on the competence and skills needed in professional life and in various expert professions. The aim is that the students have a diverse understanding of the Chinese language and culture.
Kaisa Häkkinen receives honorary title of Academician of Science
Professor Emerita Kaisa Häkkinen has been conferred the honorary title of Academician of Science. President of the Republic granted the title at a presidential session 27 November 2020.
