In 2023, the University of Turku will open the international, multilingual, master's program European Languages, Cultures and Societies in Contact (120 ECTS) based on the cooperation of European universities. Application period 4-18 January 2023. An information session about the program will be organised on zoom on 14.12. at 14:00-15:00 (Finnish time, which means 13:00-14:00 CET).

European Universities Established New Joint Master’s Degree Programmes – Now Open for Applications!

The University of Turku is offering two new international Master’s degree programmes as a part of the European EC2U Alliance. The students selected for the programmes have a freedom to customise a personalised study path for themselves which is focused on either language, culture, and society, or sustainable cities and communities. The students also have a chance to obtain a degree from several Alliance universities at once.

The project aims at discovering how artists make a living, how the artistic labour overlaps with other types of labour and the everyday life, and how artistic expertise is accumulated.

Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) appoints five new postdoctoral fellows

Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) has appointed five new postdoctoral fellows to three-year positions, which commence on 1 january 2021. Following a process of international peer review, the successful candidates were chosen from a field of 286 applications for the five positions available (a success rate of 1.7%). They will join an institute which is committed to interdisciplinary working and the development of top-level researchers.

Aboagora – Between Arts and Sciences is an annual symposium, bringing together various aspects of academia, the arts, and society. This year, Aboagora dives into the world of water. The Symposium will be held both at the Sibelius Museum as well as online on 19–21 August, 2020. Registration opens on 15 June.
