TCLS is looking for conference assistants to help with the practical realization of international and multidisciplinary WORK2023 conference!
WORK2023 – Digital Capitalism: Peril and Possibilities explores the current key drivers in most contemporary societal changes and in working life, including e.g. the crucial roles of technologies and digital capitalism, and how they have become visible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference is organized by Turku Centre for Labour Studies TCLS on 23-25 August as a hybrid conference at the premises of the University of Turku and on a virtual conference platform. The conference gathers researchers, academia and specialists from Finland and abroad, from 30 different countries onsite and online.
The main tasks of the conference assistants are:
- preparing premises for streams
- assisting with the hybrid IT-equipment in the rooms
- assisting stream chairs during sessions
- staffing the info desk
Work hours will be between 8am - 6pm, and the days will last around 8-9 hours, depending on the day. During breaks assistants can listen to presentations of the conference or relax in the space reserved. Paid orientation for the conference will be organized before the event, where more details will be given. The date for the orientation will be informed later.
The hourly pay for conference assistant work is 14,53 € / hour. The fee will be paid according to the work hours.
