Tohtorikoulutettava melanoomaa tutkivaan ryhmään
Melanoma Immune Oncology Research Group (MIORG) is looking for two doctoral candidates to join the group on a fixed-term grant-based position, supervised by the group leader Dr Rogerio de Figueiredo.
MIORG is affiliated to the Institute of Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku. This environment offers an internationally renowned research community and excellent research infrastructure.
Cancer Immunotherapy using immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) has been the state-of-the-art of cancer care, and the Nobel Prize of Medicine and Physiology in 2018. De Figueiredo is looking for a motivated and talented person to a project, which includes animal research and state-of-the-art approaches applied in clinical samples to develop innovative treatments to overcome patient’s resistance to ICI so they can be further translated to clinical trials. The research environment is highly international and English is the main working language.
The grantee will also enjoy unique opportunities to develop internships abroad, including Liverpool (UK), Stanford and Texas (USA) within groups belonging to MIORG's collaborative network.
