The University of Turku Global Educational Services Promoted at Expo 2020 Dubai

Expo 2020 Dubai, once postponed due to the COVID-19, will take place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region. Expo 2020 is expected to attract 25 million visits, with 70 percent of visitors projected to come from outside the UAE – the largest proportion of international visitors in the 168-year history of World Expos. 

 

 

The panel discussion considers the role of education as a pathway to inclusion

How education can help children and young people find their place in the community and society? This issue will be addressed in the panel discussion On the Right Track - Education as a Pathway to Inclusion at the Faculty of Education of the University of Turku. On Thursday 8.4. Olli-Pekka Heinonen, the Director General of the Finnish National Agency for Education, will take part in the panel discussion streamed via zoom from 10.15 to 11.45.

The aim of academic writing in the Finnish language is to develop the student's communication skills and to support the student to develop into an expert. Finnish Education System’s Top Reputation Brought Teachers from Hong Kong for Five-week Excursion to University of Turku and Turun normaalikoulu School

For five weeks, a group of teachers from Hong Kong visited the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Turku and the Turun normaalikoulu school to learn more about the Finnish education system and teacher education. As for the special characteristics of the Finnish education system, the visitors were particularly interested in phenomenon-based learning, teacher’s independent role, and focusing on the pedagogical aspect of teaching.
