Biografia
Since February 2024, I have been working as a Project Researcher at the University of Turku, working on the SmartFab project, which focuses on process manufacturing optimization and computer vision. My academic journey in Chemistry began at Ibn Tofail University (2013-2016), followed by an international master's program (2016-2018) co-conducted by Mohammed V University and the University of Bordeaux, specializing in Analytical Chemistry for Drugs and Natural Products. Between 2020 and 2024, I pursued my Ph.D. at Åbo Akademi University, where I am currently finalizing my dissertation on non-invasive diagnostic methods for prostate cancer, employing nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and machine learning techniques.
Opetus
Currently, I am not engaged in any teaching responsibilities. Previously, I have had the opportunity to lecture on a course focused on electronic tongues and chemometrics.
Tutkimus
My current research explores machine learning for process manufacturing optimization. During my Ph.D., I concentrated on developing a variety of sensors, including electrochemical, fluorescent, and resistive types. Additionally, I investigated the use of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), combined with machine learning, as an innovative approach to prostate cancer diagnosis, offering an alternative to traditional methods like digital rectal examination and prostate-specific antigen tests. This work involved creating a Python package for NMR data preprocessing. My research was enriched by visits to the International School of Chemometrics at the University of Copenhagen and studies on thiophene-based monomers and their metal complexes at the Autonomous University of Barcelona for applications in electronic tongues.
