Tutkimus

My research focuses on the mathematical modelling of the transport processes and the theoretical description of redox flow batteries (RFBs). It also includes the development of the Home Energy Management System (HEMS).

In order to use the renewable energy sources in a large scale it is also essential to develop inexpensive batteries. The RFBs have been proposed as a promising technology for large scale energy storage. The better understanding of the physical and chemical processes occurring in RFBs may lead to the development of the next generation batteries for practical applications.

Other research includes modelling of electrochemical sensors, concrete-based materials and biological systems.
