Registration to NCSB2024 is now open!
We warmly welcome you to join us at the NCSB2024, the 22nd Nordic Conference on Small Business Research! The conference will be organized between the 29th and 31st of May in Turku School of Economics. Among other things, the program will feature excellent keynote speeches by Professors Maija Renko and Eero Vaara, topical research from the field of entrepreneurship, and a memorable conference dinner at the beautiful Manilla Culture Factory
Since its inception in 1980, the NCSB conference has been a biannual event in the Nordic tradition characterized by an open atmosphere that encourages the exchange of ideas between researchers with research interests in the field of small business and entrepreneurship. Continuing this tradition, the NCSB2024 conference in Turku, Finland, will feature six special theme tracks alongside an open track, covering topics such as entrepreneurship education, gender and entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship, sustainability in entrepreneurship and small business, venture boards, and well-being & ill-being in entrepreneurship.
At the NCSB2024 conference, attendees hear insights from two distinguished keynote speakers, Professor Maija Renko and Professor Eero Vaara.
Professor Renko from the DePaul University is set to deliver a keynote titled "Supporting entrepreneurs from the ground up: lessons from a local ecosystem of entrepreneur service organizations." Renko's expertise lies in examining how entrepreneurs can build financially successful ventures that drive positive social change, covering areas such as crowdfunding strategies, social impact entrepreneurship, and inclusive management styles.
Meanwhile, Professor Vaara from the University of Oxford will present a keynote titled "Narrative Perspectives in Organization and Entrepreneurship Research". Vaara's work deals with strategy process and practice research, studies of radical change such as mergers and acquisitions, work on institutional change and legitimation, and research on multinational corporations, nationalism, and globalization.
We warmly invite you to enjoy spring in Turku and exchange ideas in an open atmosphere and great company at NCSB2024. Registration remains open until May 24th, with early bird registration closing on March 31st. We look forward to welcoming you to Turku!
