The Rectors of Turku Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences visited Brussels to Meet Key EU actors

The purpose of the visit was to maintain and strengthen the visibility and cooperation of the Turku Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences with relevant EU actors in Brussels. Furthermore, the goal was to ensure that the voices of the higher education institutions are being heard in the decision-making processes and that necessary support from the EU is received in the future.

University of Turku Participates in Education Finland Days at Dubai Expo

The Education Finland cluster organised a three-day event for invited  Dubai Expo guests on the VIP floor of Finland’s Snow Cape Pavilion in mid-December 2021. The University of Turku Global Educational Services team, the University management and experts on teacher education participated in the event and programme.

University of Turku as a case study in Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation on the HEInnovate portal

A case study of the University of Turku has been published on the HEInnovate portal for higher education institutions maintained by the OECD and the European Commission.  The case focuses on how the University enhances entrepreneurial attitude, behavior, and culture throughout the entire institution and beyond with the help of digitalisation.

Liisa Järvinen Appointed as Project Manager for EC2U

Liisa Järvinen has been appointed as the Project Manager for the European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) Alliance at the University of Turku. Vice Rector Pia Björn is in charge of the operation at the University of Turku. During the Alliance, joint Master’s degree programmes will be created to seven European universities and the aim is to benefit from collaboration in education, research and innovation.
