BioCity Turku is an umbrella organization supporting and coordinating research on life sciences and molecular medicine in University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University. BioCity Turku research programs strengthen the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research collaboration within the Turku campus. BioCity Turku asks for proposals for new research programs for 2022-2026.
– We would like to see both new openings as well as applications from those BioCity Turku research programs who have been active and successful during the previous five-year term, says Professor Klaus Elenius, Scientific Director of BioCity Turku.
– All research groups working in life sciences or molecular medicine, or related fields in chemistry, physics or ICT, and who are located in Turku campus, are eligible to apply. We hope that the suggestions as new BioCity Turku research programs would include several active research groups representing different research units, faculties and universities, Elenius continues.
Funding for five consecutive years
BioCity Turku research programs are selected and will receive funding for five consecutive years 2022-2026. BioCity Turku will open yearly a separate funding call for research grants and for new openings, for which all BioCity Turku researchers are welcome to apply.
Please send your application by Friday 15 April 2022 at 16:00 (CET +1) to biocityturku@bioscience.fi
