DREAMS (Database for Radically Enhancing Additive Manufacturing and Standardization)
Description: Turku School of Economics participates in the “Business enablers” work package of the project. The objective is to support the industry to increase their business on additive manufacturing by identifying market potential, business cases and added value of additive manufacturing. CCR is responsible for work that examines organizational AM adaptation. Frameworks for analyzing technological adaptation will be applied to identify obstacles and opportunities to transfer manufacturing operations and related, affected value chains into utilizing AM solutions. CCR produces a handbook describing best practices for implementing AM. Factors considered are for example technology infrastructures and integration, organizational readiness and capabilities, top management support and managerial obstacles, costs, advantages and disadvantages.
