Research
My research interests revolve around organisational responses to change. In my dissertation I examined highly international SMEs that deal with rapidly changing technologies and slowly changing markets. The capabilities of the organisations for managing their international partnerships were in the focus. As part of the study I conducted an extensive systematic review of empirical studies on dynamic capabilities.
After completing the doctoral thesis, I've had the opportunity to continue examining change in business organizations. Typically the change is linked to the opportunities and challenges of implementing new technologies. In particular, I've examined the implementation of mobile technologies in the construction industry and the related change in work. In addition, I've studied data-driven innovation and the capabilities for business model innovation.
