Strategic Resilience of SMEs (SMEs-resilience)
Description: The research project focuses on developing strategic resilience in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in an ever-changing operational environment. SMEs form a significant part of the Finnish economy, and their ability to survive and thrive amidst crises is crucial for the national economy. The project explores how Finnish SMEs can strengthen their strategic resilience through foresight and examines corporate responsibility's role in forming resilience. Strategic resilience, which includes proactive renewal and responsibility, is key to the long-term viability of SMEs.
The project utilizes both existing research and new empirical data collected from SMEs during the project. Over its three-year duration, the project will produce, in addition to academic articles, a handbook aimed at business decision-makers for developing strategic resilience.
