Centre for Learning Research

The centre functions in the field of learning and instruction as a multidisciplinary, nationally and internationally high-level basic and applied research unit and post graduate training unit.

The centre fulfils also service function in the university and in the society at large by offering graduate and in-service training, educational technology services, as well as producing publications and applications in the field of learning research.

 

University of Turku's Centre for East Asian Studies with a European consortium secure a four-year, four-million Euro EU Horizon grant for China research

The ReConnect China research project, which improves the weak knowledge of modern China in Europe, has received a four-year EU Horizon funding of a total of four million euros. Researchers from 12 European countries are involved in the research project coordinated by the University of Ghent in Belgium. The Centre for East Asian Studies CEAS of the University of Turku is the only Nordic university in the consortium.

University of Turku Brings Scientific Knowledge and Politics to Europe Forum

Finland's role in the development Europe is at the forefront in the panel discussions organised by the University of Turku and its partners in the Turku Europe Forum. The first day of the Forum on Wednesday, 24 August, focuses on science, and the panellists address numerous questions, such as whether Finland needs its own drug development, what kind of change are Europeans facing in energy production and consumption, where are the borders of Europe, and what is the state of the Archipelago Sea.

INVEST Received Flagship Funding for a Second Term

The Academy of Finland has granted a continued funding of over 9 million euros to the Inequalities, Interventions and New Welfare State Flagship INVEST. The funding period extends until 2026. The international review panel which completed a mid-term review of the Flagship found its activities excellent and very successful while also considering its plans for the future promising.
