Multi-disciplinarity and long-term research are the trump cards of the two research colleges of the University of Turku. Collegium Researchers Mona Mannevuo and Han Li are both inspired by their research topics and emphasise the importance of the three-year period for their careers.

Through a three-stage selection process, the TCSM board selected five new collegium researchers for a three year period of employment from a total number of 81 applicants.

Based on applications received, the TCSM board selected five postdoctoral researchers for a three-year term of employment. TCSM received 111 application from 32 countries. Of the applicants, 74% reported a nationality other than Finnish.
