According to the advance information from the faculties, 162 doctors graduated from the University of Turku last year. In addition, 1632 Master’s degrees and 1456 Bachelor’s degrees were completed.

​The faculties celebrate the new Masters with Graduation Ceremonies. Masters from the Faculty of Humanities gathered at the Old Academy Building in December.

The new exchange students of the University of Turku began their studies at the start of the spring term by attending an orientation course at the School of Economics on January 3.

Suvi-Tuuli Helin wrote an award-winning Master's thesis on human resources, and at the same time, she created a framework for her company that combines well-being with human resource management.

In early November, the first meeting of the International University Advisory Board, appointed for Turku School of Economics in the spring of 2013, focused on the present status of Turku School of Economics and the ongoing strategy work. The goal of the development work is to gain a head start in responding to future challenges.

In her dissertation, M. Sc. Elina Pelto examined the effects a direct foreign investment has on the local companies and business networks. The empirical part of her dissertation investigates how Fazer Bakeries established its operations in St. Petersburg’s bakery markets.
