Biography
Jukka Rantasaari is Head of Library Services at the University of Turku. He is also a PhD candidate studying research data management (RDM) practices, competencies, and competence needs. Jukka holds an MSSc degree and is a qualified vocational teacher. Together with his team, he is responsible for metrics, research data services (RDSs), open publishing, and current research information system (CRIS) services at Turku University Library. He is also actively involved in developing open science and RDM policies and practices in national and international expert groups. Jukka has also co-founded, together with researchers from various fields and research support specialists, the Basics of Research Data Management (3 ECTS) course, which has been running for seven years at the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University.
