Biography

I graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2001 and from the Turku School of Economics in 2002. I started to work at the University of Turku in 2002. From 2006 to 2020, I worked at the Turku School of Economics. Since 2016, I have been Adjunct Professor of food law at the Faculty of Law, University of Turku. Currently, I work at Finnish Environmental Institute. Together with UTU SusBerg research group members, we continue to study the issues that are at the intersection of sustainable development and brand equity.

Teaching

I am not a teacher anymore. I used to teach environmental law, responsible business, consumer behaviour and many other things.

Research

My main research topics are sustainability transition and justice. I am particularly interested in the role of legal and regulatory tools in promoting innovation and systemic change. I have written for example about the regulations on insect foods and on probiotic functional foods. I am interested in evolutionary psychology as a metatheory explaining human behaviour, including behaviours related to food choice and morality.
