Make a nomination!
The community and stakeholders of the University of Turku can nominate any alumni of the University of Turku who has had a positive impact on the University of Turku or, more broadly, on society and its sub-areas.
Nominations are made through a questionnaire, in which the respondent describes brief reasons and how they would like the Alumnus of the Year to be seen and participate in the activities of the University of Turku.
The alumni activities of the University of Turku are developed with a renewed and more inclusive selection process. The nominations also provide valuable information on how alumni can be involved in the university's activities.
Selection and handling of nominations
The selection process is coordinated by the Alumni Relations Team of the University of Turku. Rector Jukka Kola, Communications Director Anne Paasi, Vice-Rector Mika Hannula and Director of Community Relations, Partnerships and Strategic Engagement Leena Wahlfors make the final selection.
Proposed nominations are discussed only between the Alumni Relations Team and the selection board and are not published.
The Alum of the Year will be announced in February of 2023 at the University of Turku's annual celebration.
