Turun yliopisto ja Åbo Akademi tuottavat yhdessä Ulko- ja turvallisuuspoliittisen seminaarin, jossa perehdytään ensin EU voting and EU attitudes in Finland 2024 -aiheeseen. Paneelikeskustelun teemana on European Parliamentary elections and the future of European security. Mitä mahdollisuuksia EU:lla on uudistaa Euroopan laajuista ja maailmanlaajuista toimijuuttaan? Miten EU voi edistää eurooppalaista ja maailmanlaajuista demokratiaa? Minkälaista yhdentymistä tarvitaan kokonaisturvallisuuden takaamiseksi Euroopassa?

Panel discussion European Parliamentary elections and the future of European security
European elections 2024 were organised in a world in flux. Both short-term and long-term challenges, risks and threats are shaping the political agenda for the next years, asking for sustainable solutions. This panel will discuss European security in the broadest sense from the perspectives of economic, social, military and environmental security, and both within and beyond the borders of the EU. What possibilities does the EU have to reinvent its continental and global actorness? How can the EU foster European and global democracy? What integration is needed to provide comprehensive security in Europe?
