The Biodiversity Unit will host the BioBlitz Turku 22 event on May 21-22, 2022. A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short time, 24 hours. Do you want to take part?
At the BioBlitz, scientists, students, teachers, families, and other community members work together to get a snapshot of an area’s biodiversity. Our specific area is our UTU campus, and we need the knowledge and skills of all of us.
Programme
The event kicks off with welcoming words at midday on Saturday, 21 May at the University of Turku. The work on finding and identifying species begins at 2pm. BioBlitz is an overnight event, finishing at 2pm on Sunday, 22 May. The registration for workshops is open.
