CCR’s collaborative approach is characterised by its versatile interaction with different stakeholders and society. Our societal interaction is visible in many ways: the tasks and goals given to CCR, the ways and forms in which we interact, and the roles CCR has outside the university.
CCR’s tasks include the development of practices in societal interaction for the whole of Turku School of Economics, especially in terms of research activities. CCR also acts as the chair of the Turku School of Economics Committee for Corporate and Society Relations. We test and develop new initiatives that aim to strengthen interaction. CCR also represents Turku School of Economics in the university’s societal interaction operative group.
At CCR, all staff members carry out interaction through research projects by organising events, participating in different networks and contributing to research dissemination and dialogue in wider society. The main part of the research projects are carried out in collaboration with companies, local authorities and other stakeholders.
CCR personnel act as active members and experts in many networks, associations and collaborative platforms. Examples include the DIMECC innovation ecosystem, the Hallituspartnerit Association, CLIC Innovation, the Finnish marine industry’s R&D committee, the RAAS innovation ecosystem for autonomous solutions, and a number of Turku Chamber of Commerce committees.
