The International Advisory Board of the University of Turku
The International Advisory Board forms a strategic partner for university leadership. The aim of the board is to provide insight and international points of view into the development of research, education and societal interaction at the University of Turku.
The International Advisory Board meets two to three times a year either through online connection or in Turku or elsewhere in Europe.
The Chair of the International Advisory Board is Professor Eva Åkesson, University of Lund.
The members of the International Advisory Board include:
Professor Yves Flückiger, Rector, University of Geneva
Professor Alice Gast, President, Imperial College London (from 1 January 2023 onwards)
Professor Stephan Schröder, Vice Rector, University of Cologne
Professor Ludovic Thilly, Executive Vice-Rector, University of Poitiers
Coordinators for the International Advisory Board meetings are Leena Wahlfors, Director for Partnerships and Strategic Engagement and Irinja Paakkanen, Head of International Affairs.
The term of the International Advisory Board appointed by the Rector is 1.8.2022-31.7.2024.
