The training covers the following topics:
- Basics of the Finnish education system and curriculum
- STEAM subjects and multi-disciplinary approach
- Hands-on methods in classroom and outdoor settings
- Sustainable development as a cross-cutting theme
- Educational technology in STEAM teaching and learning
The training programme is tailored for teachers in primary and lower secondary school (students aged 7–16). The content can also be adjusted for early childhood and pre-primary contexts (children aged 0–7) or upper secondary school settings (students aged 16-19).
The training programme aims to foster participants' comprehension of STEAM pedagogy, empowering them to create active, cross-cutting, and sustainable learning methods and environments that support students in developing future skills.
The training programme consists of interactive theoretical lectures alongside practical exercises with concrete cases, all aimed at supporting learners in applying the acquired knowledge to their own contexts. If the training takes place in Finland, it also involves a visit to a local school and observation of the topic in practice.
The training programme is designed to last 3-5 days, but it can be adjusted based on customer preferences, as the training packages are always customized to meet specific needs. Implementation can be arranged either in Finland or, in some cases, in the destination country as well.
The price of the programme is always negotiated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the agreed content, duration, and location of the training.
