Together with 120 Finnish companies and organisations, University of Turku participated in Expo 2020 Dubai which took place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Expo 2020 Dubai was the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region. Under the central theme of Sharing Future Happiness, the Finland pavilion invited Expo visitors on an interactive journey through the societal pillars upon which Finland's happiness is based: continuous development and innovation, sustainable and environmentally-friendly solutions and extensive international cooperation.
The University of Turku participated Dubai Expo 2020 in a cluster of Finnish institutions of higher education and education companies hosted by Education Finland, a programme established to promote Finnish educational expertise and services, funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
