Pulmonary Diseases and Clinical Allergology
The main task of the discipline is to give medical students the basic education in pulmonary diseases and clinical allergology and to provide high-quality training for medical doctors during their specialization in pulmonary diseases and clinical allergology.
The Department of Pulmonary Diseases and Clinical Allergology is actively involved in making sure that all medical doctors working in southwestern Finland have sufficient knowledge of pulmonary diseases and clinical allergology.
This is accomplished by organizing courses covering the field of respiratory diseases (especially asthma, COPD, OSAS, non-invasive ventilation, tuberculosis) and clinical allergology regularly. The discipline is also involved in training foreign medical students and doctors during the visits in Turku University Hospital.
