Diagnostic Radiology
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology introduces medical students to the fascinating world of radiology through focused hands-on courses during their medical school curriculum.
Through a structured residency program, we are dedicated to training new specialists in radiology. Furthermore, we offer fellowship programs aiming at subspecialist degrees in several fields of radiology. We have a wide spectrum of active research interests on various topics, including state-of-the art imaging of the prostate, MR-imaging of pre-term infants, metabolic imaging and imaging of neurodegenerative diseases.
In conjunction with the Medical Imaging Center of South-West Finland, The Department of Diagnostic Radiology provides comprehensive medical imaging services to Turku University Hospital and affiliated local hospitals within the area.
