Teaching portfolio
The application documents for teaching and research staff positions are accompanied by various attachments, depending on the position. These attachments are listed in the application notice. In addition to a curriculum vitae or equivalent, all teaching-focused positions are accompanied by a teaching portfolio.
What attachments are needed to the positions of teaching and research staff?
When applying teaching and research staff positions at least the following attachments must be attached depending on the position:
Positions of teaching and research staff
- Curriculum vitae (or equivalent) according to the model of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK (read more about TENK)
- For teaching focused positions also teaching portfolio
- Other attachments, mentioned in the application noticed, may be required to be submitted

- Curriculum vitae (or equivalent) according to the TENK model
- Teaching portfolio
- Numbered list of publications
- Selected publications (list and link to publications)

What is a Teaching Portfolio?
The teaching portfolio is a document that supplements the online application and curriculum vitae (CV), in which the applicant presents their teaching experience, pedagogical thinking and their development as a teacher in the context of the open position. If necessary, the author must verify the information described in the portfolio.
A good portfolio is comprehensive, short and concise. In the teaching portfolio the applicant presents his/her competence as described in the diagram below (scope 2-3 pages, taking into account the nature of the task). The maximum size of the teaching portfolio is 25 Mb.
