The Publication Forum Steering Group has updated the user guide for the JUFO classification to align with national and international recommendations on responsible research assessment. In accordance with these recommendations, the user guide now more explicitly prohibits the use of JUFO classifications in the evaluation of individual researchers. 

The Library receives regular inquiries from researchers about the reasoning for the definitions of the Publication Forum’s ratings for conference publications. The following aims to clarify the definition model and to remind about the limitations of evaluation based on Publication Forum ratings.
