Igniting Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Nigerian Universities
The Innovation and Enterprise Development training programme organised by the University of Turku aims to provide understanding of the key principles of innovation and enterprise development as well as ideas and motivation for implementing entrepreneurship and innovation strategies in higher education.
University community receives Entrepreneurial Hub Konttori on Hämeenkatu street
Liedon Säästöpankki offers the former bank office on the Hämeenkatu street for the use of the University of Turku. The Entrepreneurial Hub has been named Konttori (Finnish for bank office) and will be introduced as a working space for students and staff.
University of Turku Received ACEEU Accreditation in Florence on 28 June
The Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) has granted the University of Turku accreditation for promoting entrepreneurship and supporting the University community’s entrepreneurial activities as the first Finnish university. The University’s delegation received the acknowledgement that was granted earlier in the spring in Florence, Italy on 28 June 2022.

Entrepreneurs in Residence Programme at Turku School of Economics Wins Intoa! Entrepreneurial Act of the Year award 2020–2021
The winner of the Intoa! Entrepreneurial Act of the Year award for the academic year 2020–2021 was announced at this spring’s Entrepreneurship Day in collaboration with LähiTapiola Varsinais-Suomi. The winner is the Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) Programme at Turku School of Economics. The award was handed out for the first time in 2016. Together with external partners, the University of Turku has supported entrepreneurial acts with almost a quarter of a million with the Entrepreneurial Act of the Year competition.
