The Library is grouped into four groups, in which discipline-specific experts provide library services for their respective disciplines. The activities of a discipline group are presented using the example of the MLTL discipline group, which provides services to the Faculties of Science, Technology and Medicine.
The world around us is constantly changing and we cannot always control the causes, extent or timing of these changes. Anticipating the future in the face of unknown changes requires both individuals and organisations to be flexible, open-minded and willing to experiment with alternative ways of working. These are the qualities that the Library and its staff have needed and demonstrated over the past year as well.
In 2023, Newspaper and Ephemera Services promoted access to cultural material in a number of ways. The materials were borrowed by customers, used in collaborative projects, and organised for current and future generations.
Basics of Research Data Management (BRDM) is a 3 ECTS course that covers key aspects of research data management, and aims to give you a solid foundation in responsible data management (including open science). Enrolment is now open and the course will begin in February 2024.

The materials of history, culture and art studies are gradually transferred from Teutori Library to the new Arcanum Library. First, the books, magazines and series of the general collection will be moved and they will be out of use since 16 January 2023. The course books will be moved to Arcanum later.
All of the six library units in Turku as well as the Teacher Education Library in Rauma will be open with normal service hours on January 10th 2022 for University staff and students with access rights.
