The ranking published by the U.S. News & World Report lists the best universities in the world. The University of Turku shared the 342nd place in the global ranking. Among the Finnish universities, the University was third best and, among European universities, it tied for the 142nd place.
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2022 published by the Shanghai Ranking ranked altogether 5,000 universities in 54 subjects. Of these, 1,800 universities received a ranking. The University of Turku was ranked in altogether 24 subjects.
In the most recent QS World University Rankings, the University of Turku was ranked among the top 21 per cent of the universities featured in the ranking. The University of Turku was placed 291st, an improvement of four places compared to the previous year.
In the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the University of Turku was among the best 500 in the world in four broad subject areas and in 13 disciplines.
The University of Turku was ranked among the 301– 400 best universities in the 2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities.
The University of Turku has been named the world’s 295th best university in the QS World University Rankings 2022. In the 2022 edition, the University of Turku was ranked the 3rd best university in Finland. This year, 1,300 different universities were globally ranked according to six indicators, therefore making it the most extensive ranking so far.
