Professor of Economics Janne Tukiainen received 1.53 million euro ERC funding for his project INTRAPOL: “Intra-party politics in the past and the present” to be carried out in 2023-2027.
Timo Kuosmanen starts in June as a professor of economics at the Department of Economics at Turku School of Economics. His research themes cover several sub-disciplines of economics ranging from econometrics to environmental economics.

In her dissertation, Aleksandra Masłowska, Licentiate of Social Sciences, examines the effect of central bank independence on inflation. The research indicates that broader independence leads to lower inflation within the political economy.
