Juno is interdisciplinary doctorial programme that combines historical approach, cultural analysis and critical art studies. It educates specialists in cultural change bringing together 16 fields of research.
Research at the School of History, Culture and Arts Studies
The School of History, Culture and Arts Studies is a multidisciplinary unit consisting of 16 departments and five degree programmes. Our research focuses on medieval and early modern history, nature and its diversity, multiculturality and the processes of cultural interaction, arts and popular culture, experiences, stories and memory, as well as humanities-oriented approaches to digitalisation. The School also places a strong emphasis on gender studies across its disciplines.

The science and art event Aboagora adopting a new form in August
Aboagora – Between Arts and Sciences is an annual symposium, bringing together various aspects of academia, the arts, and society. This year, Aboagora dives into the world of water. The Symposium will be held both at the Sibelius Museum as well as online on 19–21 August, 2020. Registration opens on 15 June.
