Want to learn more about the Strategic Research Council's new themes for upcoming funding calls? Come to the next TeamUp event on 10 June. You will learn how to prepare for the next call and have an excellent opportunity to network with other researchers interested in the same themes! Additionally, you will hear tips from experienced researchers who have previously received SRC funding.
The Strategic Research Council (SRC) funds high-quality research that has great societal impact and that seeks solutions to major societal challenges.
The SRC’s draft themes for the six-year programmes starting in 2025 are
- Economy and welfare in an era of strategic competition
- Skills, labour supply and migration in future Finland.
The proposed cross-cutting priority of the 2025 SRC programmes is artificial intelligence.

Welcome!
Professor Maija Setälä was the Principal Investigator of the project "Participation in Long-Term Decision-Making" (PALO) funded by the Strategic Research Council of Academy of Finland (2017-2022). Currently, Maija leads the SCR-funded project "Facing Systemic Change Together" (2021-2024) and she is also a WP leader in SCR-funded project Flaire (2023-2029) and the EU Horizon project Sincrony.
University Researcher Juulia Räikkönen is a WP leader and project coordinator in SRC-funded project BIODIFUL (2021-2027). Juulia is also coordinator and deputy PI of BIODIFORM (Profi6).
TeamUp is an on-going series of informal networking events for researchers and staff who are interested in the various topics covered. The events are hosted by the University of Turku strategic profiles.
