Viet holds a Master of Science in Health Economics, Policy, and Law from Erasmus University of Rotterdam (2016-2017). From 2012 to 2023, he worked as a researcher at the Health Strategy and Policy Institute in Vietnam. His research interests include health technology assessment for prioritizing reimbursement lists, hospital efficiency using data envelopment analysis, and costing studies for provider payment reform. 

He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research (DPCR) with a focus on Health Economics at the Turku School of Economics, University of Turku, Finland, where he began in 2023. His doctoral thesis explores the determinants and impacts of digital service use in Finnish primary care. In addition, he serves as a visiting researcher at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), contributing to the HYVADIGI project.
