Biography
Timo Vasankari coordinates industry collaboration in the Faculty of Technology.
He joined Department of Computing (former Department of IT) in 2014 to implement project-based learning in the curriculum for postgraduate IT programs.
In his earlier career Vasankari worked 25 years in various roles of software and product develoment - from software developer to Chief Technology Officer of an international technology company. In this early career, he developed or managed development of turnkey software solutions for marine industy, military and municipalities and later joined a team to build new technology products that digitilized language teaching and learning.
Teaching
- Capstone project course - a postgraduate implementation of Project-based learning (2 annual runs, since 2014)
- Technology Leadership - a postgraduate course in Innovation Management (annually, since 2015)
