Additionally, she has published articles on various topics in different academic journals and anthologies.

In 2022, she completed the basic studies in university pedagogy.

Teaching

Qvick has given many lectures based on her dissertation work on lecture courses, and she has taught intermediate level courses. She has also been acting as course coordinator on several method courses of cultural studies, audiovisual culture, film music studies and close reading. The most recent course she taught in the field of musicology was a course on History of Western Art Music.

Research

In her doctoral dissertation, she studied the narrativity of the film soundscape from the perspective of sonic world-making. Her research material consists of six Finnish children's fairy tale films from 1949 to 2004. Theoretically and methodologically, her research primarily draws on cultural musicology, recent film music studies that examine music as part of the film's audiovisual whole, and narrative film music research, as well as analytical "close reading." She seeked answers to questions such as how the soundtrack constructs the fairy tale world.

She has published scholarly writings (articles and book chapters) on film music, as can be seen from her publication list. Her main methods are audiovisual analysis and critical close reading, through which she explores theories and concepts in the field of film music and musicology.
