Biography
I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon with the clinical license in Finland. I work in the Department of Traumatology
in Turku University Hospital. I have focused on the treatment of all trauma patients. In addition I have also started familiarizing myself with bone tumor treatments and surgery.
Teaching
I am interested in teaching in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Turku.
Research
I am at the beginning of my scientific career. Currently my clinical research interest is in the total ankle replacement (TAR) in the treatment of end-stage ankle arhritis. TAR has had high complication and reoperation rates. The aim of my current study is to investigate the funtional and radiological outcomes of all the implants used in the Turku University Hospital.
I have also started and I am progressing in my PhD.
