Biography
I'm a doctoral researcher at the Department of European and World History. My research project examines colonial discourse in Finnish children's literature in the twentieth century. I am also more broadly interested in Finnish encounters with colonialism.
Research
I examine colonial discourse and racialization in Finnish children's literature in 1890-1970. I'm also working more broadly on themes related to Finns' encounters with colonialism.
I'm also working on a number of articles on the depictions of the Irish revolutionary years (1916-1923) on screen.
