Research

I am currently studying the experiences of academic manhood in early modern Sweden with funding from the The Society of Swedish Literature in Finland (2025-2026).

I am also affiliated to a project Förfalskarna – Allmogens litterarisering och kunskap om det svenska språket i brottslig kontext i Finland under 1800-talets första hälft were we study forgers and forgeries in Finland during the first part of the 19th century.

I defended my doctoral thesis in the spring 2021. The thesis is called Broken Promises. Premarital relationships and agency in the Late Seventeenth-Century Swedish University Towns and was published in Finnish including abstract in English.
