Research
Linda Maria Laaksonen (PhD, sociology of education; M.A. education, special education & BSSc sociology) works as a university teacher at the University of Turku. Her research interests lie in questions of social justice, educational choices and experiences of students with diverse backgrounds. She has also done research on privatisation of education and private supplementary tutoring. Previously she has worked in projects focused on educational transitions, educational support and special education, upper secondary education, education of students with migrant backgrounds, gender and social class.
