Biography
Kristof Heidemann is a PhD researcher under the supervision of Prof. Janne Salminen at the Faculty of Law.
Perviously he has studied at the University of Göttingen in Germany, the University of Bergen in Norway and the Tokyo University of Forgein Studies in Japan.
During his studies he participated in the EEA Moot Court 2020, the Erasmus+ project "ECI: From A to Z" and worked as an editor at the Goettingen Journal of International Law (GoJIL).
He has conducted internships in the Federal Parliament of Germany as well as the State Parliament of Lower Saxony.
Teaching
Kristof Heidemann currently works as an assistant teacher in the course "Comparative Legal Research".
Research
Kristof Heidemann's research interests focus on the theory of democracy, especially regarding the subject of possible constitutional implementations of democratic innovation proposals and their potential practical implications (e.g., improving governmental legitimacy and transforming enviromental policy).
