Biography
I am an enthusiast patent law and emerging technologies researcher with a keen interest in patent law, artificial intelligence and pharmaceutical drug development. I am committed to advancing the understanding and application of patent legal frameworks in the rapidly evolving landscape of emerging technologies.
Research
My research explores how patent systems should address the challenges of inventorship and ownership for AI-generated or AI-assisted drugs. Currently, extending patent protection to such inventions presents significant legal and conceptual challenges. By using the doctrinal, socio-legal, and legal theory research methods, my study critically examines whether these limitations should also apply to AI-generated or AI-assisted drugs. Furthermore, it evaluates which of the proposed compromise models for inventorship and ownership of AI-related inventions align closely with the rationale for the patent system, particularly in the context of pharmaceutical drug development.
