Samuel Piha receives the title of adjunct professor in consumer research

D.Sc. (Econ.) Samuel Piha has been awarded the title of adjunct professor in the Marketing subject of Turku School of Economics with specialization in consumer research.

Piha graduated with a master's degree in 2014 and defended his doctoral dissertation in 2018. He works as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vaasa and as a senior researcher at the University of Turku.

Piha's scientific research focuses on consumer behavior. His areas of interest include consumer empowerment and evolutionary psychology, buying behavior, and consumption related to healthy lifestyles, sexuality, food, and exercise.

Piha has been extensively responsible for academic teaching in his field. At the Turku School of Economics, he teaches, among other things, a subject study course in consumer behavior, an in-depth course in consumer research, and the basics of marketing.

In addition, Piha is known as a popularizer of science and an active media commentator.
