NTU Ranking: University of Turku the Second Best Science University in Finland
The Taiwanese NTU Ranking has ranked the best 500 universities in the world with bibloimetric analysis.
The NTU Ranking compares universities on the basis of the number, quality and effectiveness of publications. The ranking evaluates research universities' academic performance and achievements in six fields and, for the first time this year, also in 14 different subjects.
The position of the University of Turku in the 2015 ranking is 309th and last year the University was placed as 315th. Of the Finnish universities, the University of Turku was second after the University of Helsinki.
In the field rankings, the University was placed among the best 300 universities in Agriculture (191st), Clinical Medicine (234th) and Life Sciences (260th). In the subject evaluations, the University was among the top 300 in Plant & Animal Science (147th), Environment/Ecology (208th) and Agricultural Sciences (227th).
