Chinese-Nordic Fudan Nordic Centre Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary
Next year, Fudan Nordic Centre celebrates its 20th anniversary. The member universities’ meeting for the preparation of the celebration is held in Turku.

A delegation from Fudan University’s Medical College will participate in the meeting and visit different universities in Finland.
Fudan Nordic Centre is a Chinese-Nordic consortium for collaboration and a platform for initiating and developing research and educational co-operation. It also organises conferences, workshops and researcher training as well as courses for Nordic and Chinese students. In addition, the Centre works in collaboration with the representatives of Nordic institutions and companies in the Shanghai area.
The Centre provides a contact platform for co-operation in different disciplines with Fudan University and other universities in the Shanghai region. The centre also offers Research Platform grants that have an ongoing call for applications.
Vice Rector Kalle-Antti Suominen, Professor Risto Kalliola and International Liaison Officer Kirsi Korpela visited Fudan Nordic Centre for the annual meeting and the Health Services in Transition seminar on 21–24 October. At the same time, a student fair was organised in Shanghai where particularly interest was taken in the doctoral training at the University of Turku.
At the meeting, new, suggested openings were PhD level summer schools and an alumni network for the visitors. In addition, the participants got to hear about the experiences of those who had received the Fudan Nordic Centre grant from Koneen säätiö.
