Public lecture: research related to dark matter and the large-scale structures of the universe

On May 6th from 18:30 to 19:30, a public lecture will be held in the Quantum Lecture Hall of the University of Turku on research related to dark matter and the large-scale structures of the universe.
At the beginning of the event, a new book related to the topic by the Estonian academic and pioneer in the research of dark matter and the cosmic web, Jaan Einasto, will be presented.
Turku University honorary doctor Jaan Einasto has been awarded several international prizes, including the prestigious Gruber Prize. Jaan Einasto celebrated his 95th birthday last February and will also participate in the event.
The lecture will be given by professors Rien van de Weygaert and Bernard Jones from the University of Groningen.
The event is organized in conjunction with the Tuorla-Tartu 2024 meeting of cosmology and extragalactic astronomy researchers. This annual gathering of researchers in the field has been organized in collaboration with the Tuorla and Tartu observatories for over 20 years.
