Citizens’ Linnanniemi Workshop
Time
16.5.2024 at 17.00 - 19.00
Join us to shape the future of Linnanniemi for becoming a vibrant Maritime neighbourhood with a renewed Castle Park and inviting Harbour city!
The harbour and the Linnanniemi area are developed into a new centre for culture and history the city meets the sea. Turku castle continues to be the landmark of the area, with a renewed Castle park that opens access to the waterfront. The new Ferry terminal and the Museum of History and the Future will bring new activities to the Harbour city, together with the vibrant Maritime neighbourhood. What could the Linnanniemi area offer for the citizens, businesses and visitors in future, and how digital services could support this development?
We welcome you to join us to the Citizens’ Linnanniemi workshop to discuss and generate ideas on how the Linnanniemi area could better meet the wishes of citizens.
To initiate the discussions, researchers of Smart Port City project will present findings of their study about citizens’ experiences and views about the area and its development.
