The Doctoral Supervisors Academy (DocSA), established in September 2024, offers support to everyone involved in doctoral supervision at University of Turku. This multidisciplinary support model is designed for supervisors and staff, from doctoral programs to departments and faculties. Participants in the Doctoral Supervisors Academy also have the opportunity to complete higher education pedagogy studies alongside other activities. We will continue to update this page with information about DocSA's activities and events.
Support for supervisors
DocSA offers flexible opportunities for supervisors to participate and develop their own supervisor practices in collaboration with other supervisors. We organize workshops on various topics, and supervisors can join according to their own schedules and interests in collaboration with various stakeholders from our university. We also offer the possibility to complete university pedagogical studies alongside other activities (scroll down to read more).
The goal is to develop DocSA in a way that best meets the needs of the doctoral pilots, doctoral programs, and faculties. We will be in contact with the coordinators of the pilots and doctoral programs during September and October 2024 to start the collaboration.
